Viva Technology

VivaTech brings different actors of technology together: startups, tech leaders, investors, and grand brands. This event aims to accelerate innovations by inspiring all the actors. In 2023, 2800 exhibitors, 11400 startups, and 150000 + visitors participated this event across 179 different countries. There were some star speakers too, such as Elon Musk, Marc Benioff, and Dan Schulman. 

The Things We Have Learned in VivaTech 2023

We participated in this event for the first time as an invitee of the Turkiye Investment Office. We were one of 16 Turkish startups in the Turkish Pavillion. 

The event was incredibly useful, of course. But honestly, there were some problems that I could not avoid.

  1. Almost all seminars were in French. I know how French people feel about their language, and I appreciate them. But it was an international organization. So maybe hire an interpreter? We want to understand too!
  2. It is a great idea to bring together grand brands and startups. But only theoretically. Grand brands had all the spotlights and shadowed startups. I mean, Audi brought a car without a steering wheel. How can an identity verification startup compete with it?

But besides these negativities, it was a really inspiring event. I got many notes to shape our future plans, but I want to share the most important ones with you. 

Digital Transformation of France

France takes digital transformation seriously. That's for sure. Famous French brands, Renault, Loreal, and Arval shined splendidly by showing their investment in digital transformation. It is really amazing to see how these established brands adopt the technology. For example, Loreal. How could technology create a difference in the beauty sector? We had a chance to observe a protıtip of hairdresser taps that use water more efficiently. Or online meeting makeup effects. There is a fact. No one can take its place guaranteed in the current age. Established brands have to invest in technology and digital transformation too. 

Climate Crisis is The Hottest Topic

Almost every sector considers climate crisis. The fashion and beauty sector develops technologies to use less water, automotive sector tries to enhance electric cars. Many firms use biodegradable materials instead of plastic, etc... I need to say that I am really happy that we try hard to be part of the solution as Techsign. Creating paperless document management was our first step to support a sustainable environment. But we discover new ways to support clean technologies. For example, making the shared electrical scooters safer.

Generative AI is Everywhere!

Generative AI grows faster than any known technology. The most popular 

Generative AI app, Chat GPT reached 100 million users only in two months. It takes two and a half years of Instagram to reach this milestone. The users are not only individuals but also firms. Did you see the technology that Google use in online meetings? Generative AI collects the highlights of meetings, questions, and answers. Then it provides a written report. How cool is it!

Of course, you need to improve your security measurements when you improve the efficiency of your meetings. Especially in crowded meetings, it is important to control who has access to meetings and written reports. 

It was proven once again that KYC solutions are not only for finance but many sectors too. 

Personalization, More Personalization!

Personalization has always been an important tool for marketing. But we saw that it reached a top point. And it is everywhere. Automotive, beauty, fashion, gaming, etc... Brands get help from AI and let clients add their personal signatures to the designs. Automotive users make their own choices for the services they get. AI offers makeup tips by considering clients' features. Of course, all these personalization systems need to know their customer rapidly. VivaTech 2023 was important for us to shape our future plans and strategies. We got a chance to see the opportunities in some sectors we never considered before.
